Short courses – London Metropolitan University
These classes are designed to run on from the Intermediate Classes, concentrating on the advanced stages of construction and assembly, where the emphasis is on the final completion of the project. Please note that these classes are not suitable for complete beginners or inexperienced woodworkers.
Work will be explored through a series of talks, workshops and assignments. Skills acquired during the course will include Photoshop for digital negatives, negative scanning, cyanotypes, Van Dyke Brown printing, Salt printing and silver gelatin printing. Work produced will be evaluated and developed through group discussion.
This course introduces students to the techniques of programming audio apps for iOS, the operating system used on the Apple iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad. While the teaching material can be applied to the iPhone and iPod Touch, the focus in the course will be on the iPad.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) is a vital part of the construction industry. All architects, technicians and construction industry professionals are expected to have at minimum a basic working knowledge of CAD.
Product and 3D Design – Nottingham Trent University
Aimed at those who have attended a CAD beginners class or have prior experience in the software, this course will further extend your knowledge in the CAD programs. The course will concentrate on AutoCAD and SolidWorks with optional Photoshop and Illustrator lessons.
